INTRODUCTION

The main purpose of doing this assignment is to provide us an understanding and importance of the enhancement of entrepreneurial skills and personal qualities with supportive evidence by linking to successful entrepreneurs in Malaysia and the world. This assignment also helped us to identify and analyze embodied entrepreneurial skill by entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship is the strength to take risk, manage, plan, control a business venture in a competitive universal marketplace. An entrepreneur is a person who is responsible for setting up a business, who has the courage, innovation thinking mind and who always look for high achievements. A success or a failure of an entrepreneur depends on how the person implement the idea. A successful entrepreneurs always seems to have common entrepreneurial traits which lead them to be a successful person in their particular field.

As for example of successful entrepreneurs which used some of above entrepreneurial traits is Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar al-Bukhary, Tan Sri Loh Boon Siew.

Tan Sri Tony Fernandes is 51 years old and holding a position as a Founder and Chairmen of Air Asia. The reason why we claimed him as a successful entrepreneur whom use some entrepreneurial traits is because Tan Sri always came up with innovative idea such as “Now Everyone Can Fly” concept which always attract many person and is a open risk taker. (ISMAIL, 2010)

Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary is 63 years old and also known as founder of Albukhary Foundation. Tan Sri is currently the richest bumiputra in terms of business areas which includes transportation, logistics, property development, defense and armory. (Rahsia Kejayaan Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al Bukhary, 2015)

Tan Sri Loh Boon Siew or known as “Mr.Honda” was first sole distributor of Honda motorcycles in all over Malaysia. Some of traits that Tan Sri showed as entrepreneur is integrity and reliability, initiative, failure is an option. (Yean, 2010) There are the entrepreneurial traits that we going to identify and explain with a relevant examples in the business perspective where entrepreneurs use them to achieve their goals or purpose of their starting up business : 1. NETWORKED 2. OPEN RISK TAKER 3. OBSERVANT 4. VISIONARY 6. OPEN CULTURE 7. OUTCOME ORIENTED 8. TEAM ORIENTED 9. PROACTIVE
